So I do the re-writing of the outline as well, but I do it as I draft. After I finish a chapter I go back the same day and update the outline. For anyone who might find going back after the whole book is already drafted, this method might help. Less time intensive at the end.
Oh I LOVE that! I might have to try that with the next book but I tend to be very single focused when I start writing 😅😂I’ll give it a shot though! Would definitely be a time saver!
@@MandiLynnWrites Tunnel vision is a thing for sure! Also, for anyone thinking about trying to seek Trad-Pub, this method can REALLY help with the dreaded two and three page synopses.
❤❤❤
I mind-map a basic plot, but I don’t know where some events are going until I get a first draft finished. I love your idea of doing a chapter summary after the first draft, along with universal fantasies.
Definitely do the writing vlogs!
Love the sweatshirt. But it seems like they should kick you of that club (and add me to it). Have you looked into using Scriviner? All of those notes in different colors could be done faster (and appear on a sidebar next to your text) much faster!
As for short chapters, I love short chapters when reading. It makes me want to read “just one more chapter” before I put a book down for the night.
Great information
Late to comment and not a romance reader, more sci-fi/fantasy but as a reader the books I liked the best and found easy to follw that were multi-pov were structured as 1 Chapter = 1 POV, if the pov switched they started a new Chapter.
