This was oddly inspiring. It always gets me down because I’ve had a YouTube channel for 7 years but when Covid hit I put more into it and have had growth that makes me happy. Everyone’s journey is different and no one should compare their path to another. I understand my flaws after all these years and look to grow but thank you for this video. I don’t hope to make dumb money on YouTube, I just want a comfortable life.

I did youtube since 2011, but I was just a dumb kid playing video games. I did a hard reset in the summer of 2022 and I’ve seen a ton of growth. It’s a grind and learning experience for sure bro.
I checked out your channel. Immediately I noticed what your problem was( assuming you’re not satisfied with the number of views)
You don’t have one niche. You’re all over the place. It’s just not appealing to go through your channel. I think it’d be better if you focused on one thing , like card tricks , or covers. If you want to make videos about all this ,I think having separate channels is a better way to go about it honestly. I know my opinion/advice was unsolicited but I was just trying to be helpful
@Mello thank you! I’ve been really trying to tighten it down to one thing. I really don’t want to teach magic but there’s elements. I definitely have had a luck with shorts lately but I’ve been wanting to head back into long form. Definitely a lot of tinkering and pivoting lately.

I prefer to live and travel my 20 or 30s, and work later and settle the rest of my life… not opposite. See how my children and grandchildren grow up, and not retire at 50 and go away…

I think change your route.
At 50, you can be freeee… but nothing better that travelling and living free in your 20-30 or even to 35. You enjoy fully youthfull, you have energy, you can flirt with beautiful girls or boys, go crazy parties…. etc.
And in your 50s, you work, you settle, and you do a family and see how your childrens grow up.
I do not say 50 you are old… but well, older than 30. haha

I got over halfway with the watch-hours two years ago.. 2100/4000, and had arround 1.3K subscribers, but in the end, I didn’t have enough consistency, and money was never the main focus, so I stopped uploading as frequently, and slowly lost most of those watch hours (I’m at 600 in the past 12 months now) ?
I decided to focus on creating content that I would enjoy making and crafting over several months, rather than content that was worse quality, and that I could push out more frequently, but would get more views.
Much respect to those who keep going with it, and good luck to everyone on their YouTube journeys!

Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren’t well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol
