I Thought I Was Going to Sell Out of Books… ✨ Indie Author Book Signing Vlog

Kickstarter for Revenge in Rome:

I’ve had more book signings than ever this year, and my latest event was one I signed up for on a whim. I didn’t know much about the event, but when I got there, it was already super busy, and I started selling books before I was finished setting up. My goal for the day at that point was to sell out of some of my books. If I could sell books that fast in the first hour, who knew what could happen? Well…as I’m sure you can tell, things didn’t exactly go to plan…

  2. You have the best attitude about these book events. You keep it light and fun. Good for you! A sale is a sale is great way to approach these.

    1. Thanks so much! I think it helps that this is the only time I “leave the house” for my job these days, so I’m just happy to be getting fresh air 😂

  3. Was that your net or gross? When you take a number, subtract expenses, subtract your time in getting ready/setting up/taking down; was it worth it?

    1. This is gross income. To be honest, after expenses, I probably break even, maybe a little income. Sometimes it’s more about selling the first book in a series in hopes they buy more books from you later 🤷‍♀️ I’ve been experimenting a lot with the types of events I do this year and I hope next year to have more profitable events
