  1. The way I wish there was a website or an app that rated vendor events for/by vendors so you could know on average the amount of people who typically come out. At the very least for events that take place consistently each year.

    Selling books in person can be an awesome way to meet readers, other authors, and creatives from all over. But the downsides can be devesating. The cost of destroyed equipment, the cost of supplies and wares, the cost of travel, the booth rental fees- all things you just have to brace for.

    But to have all of that and then barely anyone shows up? That hurts.

    You look for positives in the midst to knuckle on through, but it’s a gut punch for sure.

    Been there myself and likely will be there again 😅

    Hope your next event has so many people that the event holders themselves are shocked! ❤

    1. Oh, that would be so nice! This was the first event at this location I think. I’ve done events with the woman who planned everything, and they’ve always been super successful. I chatted with her and she was just as disappointed as the rest of us. Can’t win them all I suppose…
