  1. I would love to see a video breaking down the Save the Cat Writes a Novel story beats!

As for outlining, I tend to outline each chapter, which I consider one type of creativity. The second type is when I write the actual chapter and get to fill in the small details that enrich the story. 🙂

Congratulations on your pregnancy by the way! Hope you’re feeling okay!

    1. ‘Brainstorm’ your idea’s FIRST! Then structure them into a chapter outline.
At least, that’s what Stephen King DOES.

    2. @Shakespere Rambula agreed! That’s something I do want to start doing though! Chapter outlining seems more easier and organized!

    3. It absolutely is. Once I brainstorm ‘IDEAS’ and start laying them out, then it’s EASY to structure wire-tight chapters.
I lay out my idea’s (brainstorming), helps ME to better construct an ‘outline’ when structuring my chapters. Scene’s that constructively flow (make sense), moving into the NEXT.
This way, NOTHING is in disarray, and everything flows (connects).

  2. Hey Mandi-lynn. Not sure if you’re aware of this, but someone else is using your name on another platform, trying to divert watchers to her own website, as if she’s partnering WITH YOU.

    Just so you know.

  3. Ah, such a useful video, thank you! I love Save the Cat Writes a Novel, but there are certain beats in that book that are very vague with little to no guidance. A video series from you would be awesome!

  4. After watching this video, I’ve decided to use outlining on my next Space Trade nonfiction book. Thank you!

  5. I’ve been working on a book series called Grace undercover book one: Hidden Hearts and am 3 chapters from finishing my very first book. I’ve prepared it a few months ago. I also have a very hard time outlining my stories. But I have a writing app called Novelist and it’s been helping me to outline my stories in one app and the other thing I like about the app is I could publish my books through the app as well
