🔥🔥🔥 episode
Great program
WE NEED A FEDERAL MINIMUM PER MILE
I been saying this !!!!!!
Capitalism would call that Communism.
The US is too greedy for that.
I think rate per mile should be attached to diesel price per gallon
Facts
Baltimore tuned in !
Tough times for small fleets!
Amazon rates are in the dirt
“Been truckin’ for years and it’s tough out there for us small carriers, but this video gives some solid advice to keep rollin’ and stay alive in the game.”
It’s a Team Trucking era for sure. Husband and wife Owner Operators are still making a killing.
I hear you guys, but I see waaayyyy too many immigrants that are driving as owner operators under the umbrella of foreign owned companies
🇮🇳 ‘s
LOL! when you a foreigner and work for an MC that runs under Super Ego.
People don’t have any money that is the reason for low demand
Companies reach out but they don’t return emails and phone calls.
As one man show carrier I love and I do driver assist loads no matter what type it is. It’s difficult and plus extra job than driving but it’s worth it as long they pay me real good like 3-3+ per mile I’m good..
I grew up driving trucks, I’m certified diesel technician for 11 yrs now.. all I want to do is drive a truck, one of my biggest goals is start my own company..
Brother I get it… as an owner I would advise against it. It’s a very high chance you’ll go bankrupt real quick. Truth is a lot of us are barely hanging on, and so many companies have permanently close their doors in the last year. Just in my area I’ve personally seen atleast 10 companies go under since July 24.. These major carriers and foreign drivers are squeezing us small guys out.
@ that’s hard to hear…. Appreciate the advise 🤘
Go do it. I was a 17yr tech/shop manager. I’ve been in business now 6yrs with a fleet of 3.
@ how did you get started?
Took everything out of savings and started my own authority. @@lulu_tx648
NAHHH you could have edited out the guy drooling on himself 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Equipment paid off, and I paid my insurance for the whole year. I don’t take cheap frieght, my truck sits at home a lot. I’m not the problem.
I have tried putting high bids on the load boards. They get ignored by the brokers and then I am left without a load. I have come to the conclusion that I have to just take what the prevailing rates are at that time and place and just focus hard as hell on the things I can control like my costs. I never thought of myself as the problem but perhaps you are right and anyone not willing to sit on the sidelines is part of the problem. Definitely something to think about…
Mine has been parked since August 2023. I have no interest in working for free, and wearing out the equipment while doing it.
Get rid of all of this cheap foreign unAmerican unneeded competition. And I am a born and raised black American citizen.
Finally you have a guy who actually knows business and isnt just using a DBE status to prop up their business
The truck consumption portion doesn’t talk about the effects it has on a company driver. No one wants to be doing all that and they don’t own the truck
Ground hog day is foolishness. If you count the weeks from ground hog day to Spring is 6 weeks. If he sees his shadow or not it’s still 6 more weeks of winter.
With the rates being so low, you’d think there wouldn’t be so many cdl driver job offers. All this over capacity, but they are still trying to hire.🤔 😂
Great interview, I learned alot.
