The Best eBook Distribution – How to Self-Publish eBooks Wide in 2025

The Best eBook Distribution – How to Self-Publish eBooks Wide in 2025 // If you're self-publishing your ebook, there are a ton of distribution options. If you're the type of author who wants to have your ebook in as many places as possible, then you may be wondering the best way to go about that. Do you publish with IngramSpark, but have low royalty rates? Or maybe with Draft2Digital and have a smaller distribution. There's even Publish Drive, which publishes your ebook everywhere, without a cut in your royalties (for a fee of course). Or there's the monotonous option of manually publishing your ebook to different retail sites yourself. In this video, I'm talking about all these options and comparing different royalty rates, distribution, and what will give you the most bang for your buck.

    1. I think overdrive refers to a reading app and publish drive is the ebook distribution company, if I understand it correctly.

  1. Looked at your paper back video few days ago, very simple & informative. Completely green to all of this. Like that it’s not a ” copy me and make 60k a month” , the content YouTube suggests is quite annoying at times. Sometimes you just need to know the options, the requirements and the procedure so you can make good decisions 😉. Will check out your hard cover video next put a link to it in your soft cover description.

  2. One thing I don’t like about Draft 2 Digital is that as non-American citizen with a US based LLC, it was impossible to get verified and get onto the platform.

    1. Is that only for you with a US company? If I’m Aussie and have an Australian company would it still work do you know?

  3. Thank you so much! I’ve been thinking of dabbling with going wide with my ebooks, but I usually just stick them in KU because I never know where to start lol

    1. KU is a great place to start! But if you feel like you aren’t getting a lot of page reads, then I’d consider branching out and experimenting

  4. Hi Mandi, sorry if you’ve already answered this, but as an author that is getting ready to publish but doesn’t necessarily want to support amazon do you know anything about working with Kobo?

    1. I don’t have a video on Kobo yet, but I have videos on how to publish with Draft2Digital which might be another option to look into

    2. kobo is a wonderful retail partner! The team is small and responsive. I really like working with them.

  5. I have 30 books to publish which are more spiritual and non fictional …please help me to understand what’s best in terms of distribution, and how do I get an ISBN for distributing through so many channels… Is one ISBN good for all platforms?

  6. You don’t have much to say about Apple books. I’m curious about that.
