Remember, an 8kw industrial CNC lathe is always a great addition to the home office or bedroom.
The brutal amount of wood dust, the noise, the sore troat, im quite sure all family will feel bliss.
Sounds like someone doesn’t have Phase 3 power running to there home and your just “Jelly”

The vast majority of Chinese machinery has no technical staff back up – so if it breaks down or a part of the machine fails you are probably not going to get it running again as their is no support in your own country. Especially true of the smaller businesses in China who sell abroad. Machines will break down no matter how well made they are. That is why it is better buying the machine you want from a manufacturer with a reliable technical back up and support.
I second to this. The real issue with these manufacturers is today they are on the market, tomorrow they aren’t. Quality wouldn’t be such an issue, but lack of product support overnight is. It happen to me on several occasions with Chinese and Indian made/sold machinery.
just tofu dreg glow it up rig it any way make it better American Ingenuity will always defeat Chinese low qauility
The cheap Chinese gear could still be useful to a tiny home garage start-up business idea that can’t afford much initial investment. You could take the gamble that the cheap machine will hold up long enough to generate some profit if you don’t run it too hard. Bank your profit with the goal of investment in higher grade gear later. With a little luck a few years into the future your cheap starter gear might have turned out enough good product to have paid for itself, earned profit and is now just starting to wear out and soon need replacement. Then it’s time to look into upgrading the gear and expanding the business now that has it proved itself to be established and profitable. If the cheap gear fails before reaching that goal, well that’s part of the gamble, but it may have been worth taking a shot at it for a start up from nothing. Also, business ideas often do fail for lots of other reasons so it might make sense to go with the cheap machine at first and stay with it long enough to see if your idea will succeed for your personal situation before getting more deeply invested in expensive gear.
Which American companies make these machines?
A cheap machine and a little 3d printing and you can fix most things easy.
perfect timing with the tariffs and all
That only bothers yanks

More Chinese junk
You do know the reason for tarries don’t you?

I ordered a mixing machine from China. I ended up rewiring it to make it work the way it’s designed to 😂😂😂😂😂
It would have been helpful if you had added the prices of each machine !!! 😊😊😊
Pay attention.
Maybe you need to watch this again and tell me exactly how many times they tell you the price of the machines, because from what I can see they only say the price of about 20% !! 😮😮😮@@johnsmith5847
The did some, Im sure only the lower cost ones. Might not include shipping, customs etc
Prices fluctuate with material availability, tariff and customs fees, shipping destination and demand. It would be pointless to include prices when they wouldn’t be accurate from one week to the next.
What, like they said they were going to 25 seconds into the video? That’s crazy talk. Why would they give you even ballpark pricing when it’s easier not to?
I have been buying from China for 11 years now. They have the most unbelievable amount of compact equipments that can do the same jobs large machineries can do but at a smaller scale. That means small businesses can use these equipments and start before they grow big.

I’m doing great at my farmers’ market selling locally made barbed wire
Really?
@ Just kidding. Dark humor.
lol! Locally Made barbed wire. Thants funny right there.
Is it organic and free range barbed wire?
@@imxploringGreat question! I tried to make it organic but it turns out iron is inorganic, which is total BS, so I’m working on getting the barbed wire organic-certified anyways.
And it’s almost 100% free range barbed wire, except eventually, the range ends at more barbed wire.
That block of glass with pictures inside is so cool!
Those were popular already back in the days of Soviet Union…
the machine costs 15k…
After a health video I watched last year to today, this is the only worthwhile video I have ever watched on YouTube.
Weirdo!
Twenty years back I bought a conventional lathe and mill and ran a machine shop out of my garage and did well with it so your ideas are familiar to me. I think a lot of these would have trouble competing with bigger makers but a few of the personalized item makers might work
I bet the machine you bought was NOT Made in China
A lot of these machines would work in a small shop designed to sell merchandise for YouTubers, like the embroidery machine and the silk screening machine and a few others. One could set up a shop and do quite well with just a few of these, reselling T-shirts but now with custom logos, same with baseball caps, or custom socks. I could see doing a run of thousands of T-shirts for a YouTuber with just the simplest of logos and whatnot.
Caution….
Do not use lye without proper protection and ventilation. We made soap at home for the farmers market already. We would only do it when the windows could all be open and fans pushed the air.
Lye is used in pretzel making as well.
It is in most name brand toothpaste as “sodium hydroxid” as well…
Growing up my mom would only make lye soap outside.
That laser welding whilst holding the object with his fingers was crazy!
That’s pretty normal. You see exactly what you weld.

A couple of things not mentioned:
1. Regulations on food grade equipment. If you are producing food products, you need to have NSF, UL, approvals or you will get shut down by inspectors
2. Support. Should something go wrong (it will), who do you call? Do they have live support in the US, or do you have to spend days on we chat figuring out a simple issue?
3. Replacement parts. Do they use standard, off-the-shelf parts that can be bought locally? Many parts wear out. When they do, it’s vital to have replacements ready to swap out. When a machine stops, so does your income. Especially in the custom, short run market.
Especially 2 and 3 which count for all equipment are worrysome. Unless you are an engineer and make parts I think with many of these machines you could be buying some very expensive scrap aftet they fail
– who you gonna call?
– ghostbustards…)))
They all have FaceTime tech support. Not a problem. You will get a real person faster than in the USA. A facetime is a facetime, wether they r in India or china or Texas does not matter. Spare parts u order them, they will arrive quick.
I don’t know about the US NFPA, but here in Canada the vast majority of Chinese equipment does not meet CSA electrical codes and require significant electrical upgrades that often cost more than the machine. If they are a good Chinese supplier/Exporter they may be able to make it meet all the CSA, UL, NSF etc approvals, but you will have to request that and it will increase costs. Compare all the costs (Certifications, Shipping, replacement component costs) against North American or European equipment before commiting, you might find the end cost is not much different and possibly better equipment.
if you go the Asian equipment route, there are international testing organizations that can approve the equipment in China before it ships, which I highly recommend.
Right, food grade equipment in America is different from a third world culture like China.
Bro, remove that machine picture at 0:14 that’s a very high precision multi axis lathe. made in italy.
I import manufacturing machines as a service for US manufacturers. Lots of really good machines over there. Lots to importing and customs clearance, but well worth it if you know what you are doing. If you don’t….. It can be a very expensive lesson.
yes thank you for bringing that up. better to buy a machine made in the USA or just buy USA instead. after taxes, frieght and time you spent the same amount of money except you now need replacement parts from china.
Here’s someone who gets it, while everyone else is complaining. All the MAGA types apparently desperately want to make all this stuff domestically but they don’t actually want to set up the supply chain necessary to make it. If you don’t have the industry domestically, there will be no demand for making the machines domestically either, you can’t magically move up the supply chain at the drop of a hat. If you really want to set up the supply chain necessary to make all these products that Trump has imposed tariffs on, you have to take it step by step, and setting up a business to service these machines is part of that and a step on the way to eventually making them domestically.
@@garymaya1767 Agreed better to buy a machine made with high grade machined part manufactured locally and always work out how to repair said machine one’s self, CNC’s have moving parts they need to be repaired best to have a way to do that. My uncle when he was alive had a metal press he used to make pulleys, no computer and he basically manufactured the machine itself.
They’re 134% more expensive all of a sudden… A $4,000 machine now costs $9,360 … Make America Great Again.
@@darrylmccormick4607 When are negotiations going to be held? .. China is selling its stock to other countries that aren’t imposing 145% tariffs upon their manufacturers. Europe, Canada, and Mexico are sealing massive and lucrative deals with China and bypassing MAGA USA and this will continue long after Trump U-Turns because the people of these countries don’t want to trade with a mafia wannabe president and his hundreds of millions of red cap supporters .. They’ll trade elsewhere. Get ready for empty shelves. Buy toilet paper now – before it runs out.🤣🤣🤣

@@darrylmccormick4607 They ain’t coming to the table…. they can do nothing and win.
@olisk-jy9rz A drug dealer doesn’t cut off his biggest buyer with the hopes of finding a replacement before his product goes bad. Also, they ARE coming to the table because the junkies (American public) who at the same time disparage the Chinese can’t seem to live without their cheap products. But it’s also hurting their economy immensely because they are a manufacturing country….we are a consumer society and hardly make anything.
my cousin bought a chinese embroidery cnc for embroidering ball caps for his little league community. Spent about 4-5 thousand. Machine broke down after a year and he’s been waiting a year and a half for part that will fix it. They don’t seem to have the part but happy to sell him another machine.
