  1. When a video goes viral, it doesn’t mean your channel will grow or that you’ll suddenly get tons of subscribers. YouTube promotes a single video, not the creator — once that wave passes, most people move on. That’s why subscribers do matter: they’re your core base, the first ones to watch, comment, and ignite momentum for new videos. If YouTube shows your video to the wrong audience, it can die fast — not because the content is bad, but because of the algorithm. That’s the reality every new YouTuber faces.

    1. yep…I get around 7-10 views a video. But I did some reaction videos and they blew up by my scale 12k views on one…about 30k views all together. That got me about 100 new subs.
Ya gotta give them a reason to stay and keep coming back. And you can use old topics too…the Why Files is a prime example. The materials been covered but A.J. knows how to make you wanna come back. It’s a great example.
      follow your bliss
      never give up
      love to all
      -Sick

    2. Subscribers don’t matter …. also in this video, brand recognition is important. And what is a good reflection of brand recognition? Subscribers 🤣🤣🤣

  2. This is exactly the kind of insight creators and brands need to stay ahead in 2026! Social media is changing fast — adapt or get left behind. For small YouTubers, staying informed about trends like these is key to growing faster, reaching the right audience, and standing out in a crowded space. Keep learning, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to try new content formats. Thanks for breaking it down so clearly!

  3. My biggest takeaway is do it because you love it, or don’t bother. Sounds like way too much stress.

    1. It is a whole lot of stress… My ASMR channel has been a reason I wrecked myself financially the last three years.

    2. @@ChristopherCologneASMRI have a similar story, I stopped my bs jobs I was using to invest in crypto, but I built my social media instead. Has not paid off financially yet… But it will

    3. 100% It’s SO much work. You wear several hats in any type of independent production. If you are not in love with it, those hats get heavy. This is why people get burnt out trying. They’re in it for the wrong reasons and are applying pressure from the wrong place. It’s work, so you’d better love it.

  4. This is media insanity. No average person has the time or ability to dissect content creation down to the detail he does. This is simple-either you’re able to make original content that a lot of people really like or you’re not. Ask any TV producer or movie director who has made a blockbuster TV series or film, or any that haven’t. Which of the two is happier and wealthier?

    1. Doesn’t matter how good or original content is. If Yt doesn’t show it to people you get no views. Simple

    2. @jschreadley876
This is media insanity. No average person has the time or ability to dissect content creation down to the detail he does- that’s why he invited him to TEACH US.

    3. @@barebonesmcThis is the issue with trends. You might have good quality content, but in the world of trends, it’s irrelevant. It’s like making good content, but nobody types in the search terms to find it.

  5. The problem with subscribers not mattering is there is not nearly as much security anymore. This can be good for new creators, not so good for established creators.

    1. The most difficult part is getting to 10 subscribers then 50, 100, 500, 100. I sit at 8 for about a month. Yikes. Watching my hair grow is painful. All it takes is 30s of video to count as watch time so li’l by li’l it’s working

  6. Intuition, telepathy, and kindred soul recognition are human gifts that are timeless and will always be powerful tools, even alongside these changing trends.

    1. I think it’s just time & chance. Besides, YouTube software developers are not sitting on their hands. They have to keep pushing their ideology through their code. I really doubt they’re helping new creators. Hence, why didn’t my channel grow & I have great content.

  7. Who else is getting anxiety listening to this even though it’s perfectly gold.

    1. The problem with him is that he doesn’t understand human nature & bought into the crap of “misinformation”. He is not well informed as it came out the Biden agencies PLUS CNN & other networks INCLUDING YT censored the CORRECT information because THEY were pushing a narrative. They programmed their Ai to filler those leaning opposite of their political thought. There’s no denying THAT fact. MANY youtubers remained demonitized today. Some spent thousands of dollars on lawyer fees to know avail & gone to other platforms. I have to sift through this video to find the gold. I’m not swallowing it hook, line & sinker.

  8. Be consistent, and go deep with original content. Thanks to both of you for keeping us on the upper edge of what’s happening. 🙏

  9. I realized that one has to create not for you tube but YouTube becomes a display of your work. Whether 1 or 1000 people walk into your gallery it’s still a win.

  10. Be nice, kind, truthful and consistent, you will have your share of the pie. Happy content creating folks.

  11. Just saw two videos saying “YouTube is on easy mode” and now this one saying “content creators are about to get wiped out.” Nobody has the answers, just get started and adjust as you grow.

    1. Preach!!!! it’s hilarious how content creators create content about creating content, and the truth is — what work for them; worked for (them). End of story. 😆

  12. Personally, I feel consistency in content creation is the gateway to YouTube success growth

  13. It’s like all apps say that, then they are so limited to what you can actually access unless you pay a monthly subscription! It’s crazy!
