4. The overuse of the brand color worries me now because I wanted to stick with black and white
   Perhaps I should use more colors but maintain the overall dark theme, somehow

I read and researched so much about marketing and brands during the years I spent on buying books ,but Mike explained it so easy and true and to the point , in 20 minutes that just as I’m going to lunch my brand , it shows me that I’m good in some areas but need to implement in others, thank you John for bringing Mike to teach us what to do .

17. Dope video. I was a creative director for 2 decades working on various Fortune 500 brands. The biggest mistake I see people starting up make is that they design for themselves rather than a demographic. The people that get hung up on that and don’t evolve their brand foundation / brand voice to a specific demographic usually have a lack of sales. Art is obv subjective but in the saturated streetwear market you really have to design for what the demographic wants not what you personally think is cool. Once you make art that evokes that emotional connection w/ a specific audience all the marketing tactics become much easier.

    1. Ralph Lauren specifically mentioned that he designs the clothes that he would like to wear himself.

19. Successful business is a great logo and brand that the people your selling too relates too. Quality of the materials. I advise 100% cotton or wool. Quality is always better than quantity. Also your price for your product. If you’re paying $1 for a 100% cotton hoodie. $25-$30 is a great price. You will sell quick bc it’s affordable and the quality. Most people’s hoodies are $40-$50 with mixed fabrics. You won’t go wrong! I’m getting back into the clothing. I barely kept up with my orders the first time around. Things I know now I’ll crush it. I’ll post soon on my next logo. Waiting for my logo guy now
