    1. Maybe reason I’m on 3rd time watching this : WHEN does she say :”don’t trust anyone?! Was that clickbait? Very positive, funny vid imo.

  1. This was so refreshing. Not a lot of chatter. Straight questions ( good ones too). Fantastic answers. She didn’t have to sit there and think about anything. She just answered as in a rapid fire question and answer session. Now… go right her biography. What a fantastic person. Thank you.

    1. my takeaway was…you cant learn and grow if you dont fail. like she said, she looks for those that are able to bounce right back.

  2. Barbara went through 7 yrs of IVF treatments before finally conceiving her son. Expensive.
She’s a wonderful lady, always keeps it real. Tough in business, but grounded in kindness and humility.

    1. I didn’t know that. looked her up after your comment. She ended up using donor eggs from a younger sister using IVF & had a son at 48 yo. They adopted a 2nd child, a daughter.

    2. @@sakshiagarwal5896 There are a lot of accidental millionaires out there. Right place at the right time.

  3. “Three facelifts…a lot of people won’t do it…”
Heck, a lot of people wouldn’t even admit to it. Thank you Barbara – God bless you for your honesty.

    1. Looks like facelifts may be fine as long as you don’t try to pull it too tight and of course have a great doctor. Barbara looks fine.

    2. @@Mike-c6f4k Barbara looks AMAZING, bright and beautiful. She offers so much good advice here, and elsewhere.

  4. She does not sound negative to me at all. Love is silly and cheap. Loyalty and trust is priceless.

  5. She is so right: “How do I feel when they leave the room?” Such a key question, Very true!

    1. Like I said … everyone can make it , when you put your mind too IT!

  6. I wasn’t expecting to be moved, but I am. It is her directness. A straight shooter. And the interviewer is great, too. He is one-third her age, but cones across as an old soul. She has the spunk of a millennial but the collected wisdom of ages.

  7. I can listen to Barbara all day everyday. Wisdom, intelligence, humor, empathy, timing, honesty, humility, always something to learn.

    1. She never calls herself a badass woman. Because she’s a badass human! She just shines

  8. Such wisdom….without ‘loyalty’ to anything or anyone it all crumbles. Without ‘resilience’ we remain stuck in pain and give up. And if feeling lost, find someone less advantageous and dedicated yourself to giving. We become less absorbed when giving. Then happier. She hit the nail on the head to what is important in life. Love her!

  9. She had her 1st kid at 48? Wow.
    I love her honesty.
Im 64 and it does suck getting older.
    Very impressive interview.

    1. “Via in vitro fertilization with an egg donated by her sister. The couple later adopted a daughter.”

    2. This is an excellent interview. I find it extremely helpful right now in my life at 60. Thank You, Barbara, I genuinely admire you. I appreciate your candid honesty. So helpful. God Bless You. Yvonne Pena

  10. “i’m 59. I’m leaving this comment here so that every time someone likes it, it will remind me to come back! Thank you”

  11. “people will like you, with all your faults, if you’re the real deal.” THANK U, BARBARA

  12. “Money doesn’t make a difference” – I’ve been rich & poor. Money makes a HUGE difference. Absolutely HUGE. It provides so much freedom & sense of safety, gets rid of anxiety pretty much completely, also gives u the blessing of time & choices & opportunities. Let’s u socialise & afford to go out for dinner or drinks, and gives u enough stability to not feel so afraid or worried about homelessness, which let’s u relax , smile genuinely (instead of having to fake it), and therefore ability to form friendships. You also get more respect from family friends & people. People listen more & take more interest in you. Plus you have time and money to eat right and exercise, so it buys health. It’s a HUGE difference. If she thinks it isn’t then she hasn’t been truly poor.

    1. Some of the healthiest eaters i know are the less successful financially but have way better health. I went from homeless to pretty well off and I agree with her that while money makes some things easier it also comes with new complications. A person’s outlook is a big part on their quality of life.

    2. @ @ You say “Less successful” can be healthy but it depends how poor. Also, the number of upvotes on my comment indicate public opinion is running against you. The majority are so poor they can’t. Money today buys access to health and happiness like clean food, peaceful living, and time in nature. You can look fit running in a polluted city, but long-term exposure to processed food, noise, and toxins takes its toll. Decades ago, natural living was cheap but now it’s flipped. Organic meat and whole foods cost more than junk like pot noodles, and owning land where you’re allowed to live simply and legally can cost millions in the UK. Even exercising freely in nature isn’t accessible without serious money to afford to leave city wage slavery

    3. @NostalgicAtmosphere could not agree more. In addition, the post WW2 opportunities to build wealth in Barbara’s generation are also at play – as that era in the “West” has been the exception vs the rule in human history. With the widening of Wealth Inequality, time will become harder and harder for the working class, as well as the middle class.

    4. If youre rich to the point youre earning or have more than you know youll ever need, can hire people to manage everything etc, then youre laughing, not so much until then. I have happy memories of youth living hand to mouth. Its being inbetween, where you have something to lose and responsibilities thats the toughest imo.

  13. I just love how candid and real she is!
    1. When it comes to Success, being resilient is more important than being smart.
    2. I’m good at moving on, I don’t look back, it’s such a waste of time and when you dwell with regret, you’re apt to be a victim –
    Thank you, Barbara!

    1. yup–the past is gone, just a memory, the kids do their own thing and for a lot of us we become nobodies to them–so you’ve got to find a new path forward–keep your health, eat decent, minimal negative crap, minimal alcohol-i am 73,have had huge success but for the most part the past is a like a dream, gone…

    2. @@mtsky-tc6uw I really like your comment. I thought the same, especially the ones you knew ‘for a lot of us we become nobodies to them’, so true. Past does feel like a dream and those people. Right about the health tips and minimal stress or rubbish. R uk

    3. @@mtsky-tc6uw🎉yep. to do so much for ur kid. yet. they can act like u don’t exist is heart 😢breaking 💔 . but 🫗 pouring that pain into the less fortunate or in any positive endeavor(s) flips a negative into a positive 😂😊.

    4. She is very wise. I should watch this, over and over
      Again! Thank you! ❤

    1. Yeah and how would you like it if someone sent you a thumbnail saying “Nobody cares about your butt”

    2. “Consciousness is the only Reality.”

      “Imagination creates Reality.”

    3. I’d love the opportunity to speak with Barbara about my invention in the field of cosmetology. If Barb knew my idea (that makes hairstylists jobs easier and safer), I’m confident she’d be on board with it. I know my invention would make Barbara and I a ton of of money. I’d also be willing to give Barb 25% of the company for helping me get started. Barbara would be the shark I’d want on my team.

    4. I enjoy your channel and your interview is great. I had a hard time focusing and getting into it this time, the background piano music was just super annoying..! Just had to mention.. but thank you always for putting up an wonderful videos, appreciate you!

  15. Barbara is so refreshing. I could definitely hangout with her on a personal level and have an amazing time. I love her no BS approach to her discussions!

  16. Barbara had a child at 48. She is amazing. A jack-in-the-box. Her resilience is admirable. I appreciate her transparency ❤

    1. @Jojoma449  It’s over. Until God says it’s over. Whatever the outcome. It’s not over 🙏🏼😊

    2. So selfish to have a child at 48! Geez…..why are people so selfish these days….just because you can doesn’t mean you should!

  17. I was aware of Barbara only from years of watching Shark Tank – very favourably impressed by her smarts and compassion – this interview validated my impressions – what a firecracker and fine example of a good human being. Her candour and self-awareness is refreshing and inspiring. I’m 70 years old and have done well in life, and I still feel like everything is ahead of me, the only exception is the unforgiving aging of body. Bravo Barbara!
