Title: Can Posting Every Day Sell More Books? (30 Day Indie Author Experiment) – BOOK MARKETING ESP 1
Search terms: indie author marketing, self publishing tips, book marketing for authors
I’m super excited for this new YouTube series! I’m very excited for Revenge in Rome, can’t wait for the kickstarter! When is the cover reveal? Super excited and can’t wait! 🩷❤️🩷❤️🩷❤️
June 30th!
Yay!! I’m so excited! ❤️
Have you thought about getting your fiction books published also through like ingram so it can be placed in barnes and nobles and books a million
I’ve done it in the past. Seeing my books in stores is not my goal and it’s also not as simple as just publishing through IngramSpark
Great topic. I couldn’t stand the sound effects. But I’ll watch the next video.
I find the mic sound too piercing and have to turn down the volume. Part of it probably has to do with the phone speaker. Thank you Mandi 🙏
@ancientwisdom108 I tried that. On a computer.
Fantastic experiment! Eager to see how it plays out the next month too. Do you know anyone who’s done this with just Twitter/X and how they fared on views and sales?
Honestly I can’t even remember the last time I tried to look on Twitter/X. I’ve always associated to be very drama filled and toxic, so I don’t know much about it these days.
@MandiLynnWrites I hear ya. Every social has their cons as well as their perks, I guess. 😉 Thanks!
Looking forward to the series. This was a great video!
Thank you! I’m really excited to share how this goes. 😊
This is such an interesting video!!!! Especially when you discussed that you already completed the 30 days of posting and sharing the info! It was a happy moment finding out you had already completed and surprised us at the last portions of the video. I love when a YouTuber asks a question in the middle of a video and says something like comment below on such and such. The question could be anything, perhaps “what is your favorite place a storyline to takes place” – just for an example. When people start putting their answers, I tend to be more prone to writing in the comments…. especially when I’m curious what other people like for their favorite place. It’s fun as a group of followers to see what other people put for their answers. Will it sell more books, probably not, but it may increase views. I really enjoy this a lot! ❤❤. You always have super content!
Oh gosh, I struggle so hard with social media posting with the intention to drive book sales too! So thankful you’re doing this Mandi! I’m buckled in and ready to learn 🤓
I’m so glad to have you along for the journey! 😊
Thank for being so forthcoming with your author journey. Being an indie author is not for the faint hearted. I’m in the position of getting my publishing business going again after several years. All my research has shown that when you don’t publish frequently, the algorithm forgets you exist. Amazon’s A10 update has changed the way we have to write blurbs and decide on back end keywords. Written Word Media’s YT channel has a great video about. Highly suggest it. Here’s hoping we both find some more success this year.
I’ll check it out!
tbh, social media is a waste of time
I’m struggling with this myself right now! I’d be super interested to actually see the posts you did.
In the future I’ll try to show example of the posts that were high performers!
Really excited for this series!
Thanks! Can’t wait to see how it all goes!
I’m looking forward to following along on this new video series. I’m having a rough time with social media and marketing my books, honestly. It’s not easy. 😅💜 Thank you, Mandi, for being so honest about your numbers and your author journey. It’s really helpful.
Not easy at all! And just when you think you have it figured out…you don’t lol
Definitely not relatable – my social followers are even lower and views in the single digits. So if you’re stating off pretty bad, where am i?
This is amazing. For your next video I’d love to hear how you stay motivated through this. I’ve done quite a few challenges like this with myself. I get sales. I see improvement. But the thought of having to post several times a day to all these accounts for the rest of my author career… Spending an hour or two doing the work of researching, filming, hooks… It’s disheartening. Exhausting. How do you stay motivated knowing that even if this experiment works the best you can hope for is $300 per month (my best performing month with some 80k view tiktoks and reels). I look at all the work I’m doing and just cant justify it anymore. Your mindset for this would be so amazing to hear! Thank you ❤❤
I’d also love to know the answer to that question 😅 Right now this YouTube series is a big motivation to keep going. Without the accountability, I’d struggle a lot more.
You are juggling social media platforms and for two pen-names aside from website and YouTube — I finally committed to just making my YouTube channel public not just linked to my website and am like yup, I’m good. I —- shall go back to my hermit hole. Kudos!
Ive just gone back to FB after 8 years absence, because I have my first novel ready to publish on Amazon. Interested to k ow how , as a writer, you’ve been using UTube. Would appreciate your thoughts if you have time x
What is _wre-en_ ? Do you mean *wriTTen* ? with the sound of *T* as in; *T* ROPHY or KI *TT* EN?
Lol I have an accent. It’s not that big of a deal.
Thanks for this video Mandi. Your honesty and analytics is really helpful.
Your YouTube stats are concerning since new YouTubers get about 1-2 subs a day. And if your doing YouTube shorts they should have made your videos reach more then a video would. This is just my opinion according to google. It’s good to see your views are up tho which makes sense cuz consistency is key.
On that second YouTube channel, I only post YouTube shorts, which isn’t the ideal way to grow a YouTube channel. But YouTube isn’t my focus. My focus is Instagram and I just cross-post the same content to other platforms.
I thought you would post a book a day
