We launched our first Airbnb end of Dec. 2022 and today (Feb. 23) we have already made just under $3k. It’s nice because as hosts we can still have a flexible schedule, have days for ourselves and days for guests (because our Airbnb is a private space in our downstairs) it’s been a lot of fun and it’s so nice to be able to have a wonderful space to offer guests. I honestly don’t mind what it takes getting the space ready for the next guests. Setting up took FOREVER because it took a while to find all the right pieces, but all that set up work is well worth it.
Aelyn congratulations!! ??. Yes, I’ve been doing Airbnb since 2018 and when I started, I literally hosted guests on a queen mattress in my spare bedroom, but people stilled booked it and LOVED It! Now I do it as an actual business and teach it. It is OK to start where you are and with what you have. I am happy that you are enjoying it. It is really flexible and at least 80% passive. Continue doing what you are doing and I am wishing an abundance of success on your journey.
I’m 61, employed and had hopes of retiring at 62 to spend time with my grandchildren but recently purchased a much needed home and was losing hope in that dream, until this video showed up in my recommendations. If only I was aware of such opportunities earlier. Still my hope has been restored.
