WARNING: AI could end humanity, and we’re completely unprepared. Dr. Roman Yampolskiy reveals how AI will take 99% of jobs, why Sam Altman is ignoring safety, and how we’re heading toward global collapse…or even World War III.
Dr. Roman Yampolskiy is a leading voice in AI safety and a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. He coined the term “AI safety” in 2010 and has published over 100 papers on the dangers of AI. He is also the author of books such as, ‘Considerations on the AI Endgame: Ethics, Risks and Computational Frameworks’.
He explains:
⬛How AI could release a deadly virus
⬛Why these 5 jobs might be the only ones left
⬛How superintelligence will dominate humans
⬛Why ‘superintelligence’ could trigger a global collapse by 2027
⬛How AI could be worse than nuclear weapons
⬛Why we’re almost certainly living in a simulation

I think we need regulation for AI, but now we’re getting it in every device without any control at all …
AI is just a tool, but it’s not safe at all. We are very early.
AI needs people to operate it-
We will be living like the Cartoon “ The Jetsons “
Question: what about entertainment -AI will dance ballet?
Great show
Will you do more on AI
Humans don’t want to listen to a computer talk to another computer…
Listening to Dr. Roman Yampolskiy’s words, I notice how quickly the AI narrative moves toward doomsday: viruses, mass unemployment, global collapse.
Yes, the risks are real. Yes, AI may be more powerful than nuclear weapons. But we forget one crucial factor: human beings are not only systems. We are soul, emotions, and consciousness.
History shows us that technology has never shaped the future on its own – it is always shaped by our ability to choose with courage, ethics, and responsibility.
👉 That’s why I believe AI’s challenge is not primarily about machines. It’s about our ability to lead ourselves.
Can we build an inner compass so we don’t just chase efficiency, but also meaning?
Can we train intuition and awareness on equal terms with intellect?
Can we integrate technology with human integrity instead of placing them in opposition?
If we don’t, Yampolskiy is right – we risk losing control.
But if we dare, AI can become a catalyst for a new kind of leadership, where soul and scale are no longer separated.
For me, the question is not: How do we stop AI from killing everyone?
It is: How do we strengthen humanity, so we can stand in integrity as technology accelerates?
That is where the key lies.
There is something morbidly poetic about it. We, humans, at the top of the food chain and having dominated the entire globe for centuries.. we spend tremendous effort creating something to surpass us.
Definitely. Maybe it’s meant to happen as we are the sickest species on the planet and abuse and exploit other species (and our own) to an unspeakable degree. That fact that said if humans went extinct the world would become green and beautiful again – maybe that’s what’s meant to happen to stop the horrendous suffering that WE have created
It is mostly the people that never struggled in life. The power hungry creeps that fed all of your personal info into AI to keep you in control. It is not “us” as a species.
Because ultimately humans are both lazy and greedy and that combination is what fuels commerce and the economy and ultimately will cause our destruction. It’s why we eat fast food garbage, it’s why people want a diet pill instead of changing habits and exercising, and it’s why so many people use AI for things like their homework and don’t care about the long-term consequences.
Sort of like being a proud parent of a child who exceeded beyond the parent perhaps
@@ahamilton1189If by a parent you mean Frankenstein, then, yes.
During the Manhattan project, 50% of the scientists involved considered that the detonation of the bomb might destroy the atmosphere and kill all life on Earth. They detonated it anyway. This tells you everything you need to know.
50 % might be too high.
Err …. It doesn’t really.
Apparently that is not true.
Thank for for telling it’s not true. I would not have figured that out.
Well they all had employee shares in the company building it.
In the whole world, a small team of podcasters are the only ones meaningfully discussing the serious issues coming through the pipeline. Traditional media is woeful at discussing anything outside of the daily news cycle. The role of DOAC in shaping culture is remarkable, essential and sadly unique. Thanks Steven and DOAC team for another thought provoking conversation.

Yeah I have said this a lot myself if you go back we literally have only had a technology boom in like literally the last 150 years before that humans have been slaving away in fact depending on what timeline how far back you think humans go we’ve wasted thousands of years if you think humans are 10,000 years old we’ve literally Wasted 9,900 Years because literally only in the past 100 years one Grandpa or Grandma we’ve made super improvements drones internet everything

For me, once AI takes over most of the jobs, the problem is not what I will do in my free time. I have plenty of hobbies and most probably I will not even have time for all of them.
But I am worried about what I am going to eat, how I am going to pay for myself. Am I going to be starving and be completely controlled. These are real issues in my opinion.
Look up post labor economics.
In the future no one has to work because of AI and robotics. Sadly we’re going to be in the transition with no lifeline.

I am in tech and I do not want to be in it anymore. The tone of direction is more of greed where ethics is side-stepped to please investors.
Also in tech here and I am very wary, been watching everyone freaking out how great it is and I’m the only one saying, mmmm, we need to be careful. And then they look at me as if I’m crazy.
I am in tech too. My company is pushing us to learn and use AI for project management, agile processes, and development. No one is really happy about it because we know where this ends.
That’s everywhere.
I’m also in tech, as an engineer you have to stand up for your ethics / principles and never bend over for the stake holders or investors. Stand by what’s right and be prepared to fall on that hill if need be. The real problem is people in roles such as these, having no backbone and not being staunch professionals
The biggest problem, it seems to me, is human greed.
as always
Greed, aversion and ignorance.
And desire for power and to control others.
Greed is the root of all evil and it was planted in the US in the 1870’s!
Hilarious that one of the most “self acclaimed” Christianised country is responsible for the most life threatening diseases and greedy nature of society. I mean cancer is an American byproduct!
Ie; DuPont; bananas; rubber; slavery (not just in the US); corruption on a mass scale; fertiliser; invasions for “good”… (greed)!
Say what you like… they invade other countries for the exact thing they did to get wealthy.
I completely blame the US for the downfall of society…
Please, try change my mind…
Greed is a great survival tactic ingrained from our ancient ancestors. In modern times it has become detrimental however.
I don’t want to hang out with famous people because they’re famous in someone else’s eyes. I just want to hang around with good, loving, caring people no matter who they are…

One of the best lines from Jurassic Park: ‘Scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.’ 🦕
Oh yes, I often quote what Jeff Goldblum said in the film. Since we were in the caves banging rocks to make fire, we have never seen the wrong, even with nuclaer power in us always advancing our knowledge in technology and science generally but with IT and now AI, just because it has always been it does not mean it should always be, as this guy uses the analogy in the film.

So the Terminator was right after all ! When John asked him if humans are going to make it, he replied ” It’s in your nature to destroy yourselves”. I always thought there is so much meaning in that line.
Nonsense. Hollywood is predictive programming. A very small group of humans will destroy the rest of us if we keep letting them.
Yes, we are the only living thing that kills ourselves. And thats just for starters.
I agree.
I believe John’s response was then ‘Major drag, huh?’
@@DA-lk5nptheres alot of species that kill themselves but its usually due to stress and not necessarily a natural urge to unalive themselves.
Makes me think if we naturally destroy ourselves it’s because we are always living under stress 🤔 capitalism definitely has an incentive to create high stress for people or how else would they sell their useless products that can naturally be found in nature 😓

@@fabfab4453he’s definitely glazing AI quite a bit. He really lost me on the part where he is certain we are in a simulation. There’s no evidence for that therefore no reason to believe it. Just because AI can take over jobs doesn’t mean they will. To me it’s likely it is heading in that direction but it will be a much slower progressive switch to that.
