    1. I use an Obsbot Meet 2 for my webcam and want to use it for recording overhead vids of art demos. Other than using QuickTime or Obsbot Center as my recording software… what would you suggest as a easy to use and reliable recording app for a desktop Mac mini (that doesn’t cost and arm and a leg!). 😉 TY

    2. For a faceless channel that only shoots vids of a workspace in a cozy, low light home environment. Looking for a great budget light for the workspace with tilt stand options. The amaran vex Nate just did a vid on looks promising but not enough tilt down to workspace. Checking out the wireless mic set ups in this vid and the magnus tripod. Thx!

    3. I wonder how AI will affect stock media websites like Storyblocks, I’m already seeing creators use AI media in their videos

  1. Not sure about the lighting suggestion, to get soft light you really need to look at 60cm surface area minimum so I think really the best bet is a cheap COB paired with a cheap softbox as panel lights large enough are too expensive and otherwise you need to start adding diffusion sheets, or trying to bounce off another surface, it’s a pain.

    1. We love larger lights and frequently recommend the 60D with a soft box, but for some people these panel kits will work great, are easier to setup and cheaper. I am only using these 2 panel lights to light my scene in this video, and while the lighting could certainly be softer, I think it looks solid for most people’s beginner setup!

  2. As a new YouTuber I play a game with myself as I’m making new gear part of the journey! 🎥

When I hit 100 subs — I treat myself to a Small rig video monitor!

    500 subs? Another upgrade.

It’s like a little scratch-off game I play with myself — keeps things fun and motivating! 💪✨

    1. Yes! 🙌🏻 I do the same thing! Hoping to get my self a new video light once I hit 5K

    2. @@absolutelyabs2I’m rooting for you in advance for your 5k goal I’ll be glad when I get my 100 🤍🎀🤍

    3. @@Yesalemishlet me be your 75th subscriber. I’m about to start my channel too. Done running, don’t have a niche. Just gonna press record lol.

  3. I had the tripod in my wishlist for years. I use a random travel tripod and a small roof video head instead

  4. on ,y road to 10k subscribers and this channel has been one of my goto channel for inspirations and ideas …. i am sure I have introduced somany of my fellow creators to this channel and they have always appreciated it… thank you for been here solving small creators challenges

  5. Thanks for the great info! I struggle knowing what to use and even how to use what I have. TOTALLY tech illiterate lol, but working on it! Still definitely at the start with my channel, but super grateful for the content you guys put out for small channels. MUCH love 💪

  6. Wowzers.

I wouldn’t have thought that lighting could be good at under $500. To see that kit is under $400 is amazing and worth looking at. 😮

  7. I legit was searching for a starter content creator amazon prime day video and you guys came through as usual! Thank you

  8. Yes it would awesome to have more videos on setting up and optimizing these equipment because the buying part is easy – how to actually use them IRL is another thing LOL.

  9. Im from Namibia and a student I’ve been trying to start my YouTube channel for 5 or 4 years but finance is the problem that’s why Im pushing with my studies so im able to buy everything I need
Edit: Now the money Im getting i have to pay for my studies 😑📍

  10. Well my gear budget just went up 💸 I need some of those Hollyland mics. The SmallRig phone monitor is really cool too. Great video!

  11. I’m literally about to post my video on a new channel I just started I’m new to this I’m using lumafusion, my iPhone 16 pro, and GoPro13 I’m doing a 2 camera pov with voiceover I’ve been gathering notes from family members on how improve…videos like this do help a lot

  12. Im not picky I just pray for what is needed to start my YouTube and twitch channels 😇📍

  13. Damn whats crazy is it had the first 2 items last year. The fifine mic is just switched to XLR instead of usb but its great
