$3k a week to sell street hot dogs. Gosh, I need to go into food truck. I am sure he spends a lot to keep his business profitable, but $3k a week is $12, to $15 k a,month and he doesn’t pay taxes, like everyone else.
If he was dodging taxes he would go to prison.

Great interview! Interesting Q&As and learning about this type of small business. There’s a lot to it. I’ll be sure to try a Gringo Dog next time I’m downtown.
It sucks because of our economy, even in Ohio, I won’t look twice at anything less than $20/hr. Hate to tell ya bud, I worked M-Th way back in ‘18 on a $1250/salary to basically baby sit landscapers, in an air conditioned truck in Orlando. $18.50 at 40/hrs a week is still considered below poverty level…. Sad but true.
Back in 1999 in my early days in landscaping, before materials etc., a 2 man crew should produced $1k per day after $150ish in fuel and repair costs. Again, in cheap ‘ol Dayton. I hope you scale up and dream outside of 1988

That’s basically a restaurant on wheels. I think I probably rather have a food truck itself he has more in that truck then what some some have on other hot dog carts. I’d rather have a few items if I could possibly make a couple hundred dollars a day that would be great but to have a whole truck with just about everything you would possibly need your defeating the the enjoyment.
